The Habsburg dynasty's collection housed in a domed Ringstraße palace built specifically for it in 1891. The Picture Gallery is one of the world's pre-eminent surveys of European painting from the 15th to 18th century — the world's largest Bruegel holdings (twelve panels including Hunters in the Snow and the Tower of Babel), Vermeer's Allegory of Painting, Velázquez's infanta portraits, Caravaggio, Titian and Rubens — alongside the Egyptian-Oriental collection, the Greek and Roman antiquities, the Kunstkammer with the Saliera by Cellini, and the Coin Cabinet.
