Overview
In Vienna's 4th district (Wieden) on Wohllebengasse, Estonia's embassy manages bilateral relations between two EU member states united by digital innovation and multilateral engagement. Estonia – famous for pioneering e-governance, digital identity, and e-residency – finds a receptive audience in Vienna's tech scene and international organization community. The embassy coordinates with Vienna-based UN agencies, OSCE, and IAEA where both nations maintain active delegations. Direct flights connect Vienna and Tallinn in about two and a half hours, making business travel straightforward.
Consular Services
The consular section handles passport services, civil registrations, and citizen assistance for Estonian nationals. Hours are limited to Monday and Thursday mornings – plan accordingly. Five honorary consulates across Austria (Vienna, Graz, Innsbruck, Linz, Salzburg) extend the embassy's reach throughout the country.
Service Area
Serves all of Austria. Honorary consulates in Graz (Styria/Carinthia), Innsbruck (Tyrol/Vorarlberg), Linz (Upper Austria), Salzburg, and Vienna (Vienna/Lower Austria/Burgenland) provide regional coverage.
