Overview
The Honorary Consulate of the Maldives in Vienna provides local consular assistance for Maldivian nationals in Austria. The Honorary Consul is Harald Weidler, in post since February 2025. The Maldives does not maintain a resident embassy in Austria. The Maldives are one of the world's premier luxury beach and diving destinations — coral atolls, overwater villas, and turquoise lagoons draw an increasing number of Austrian and European travellers.
