Overview
The British Embassy in Guatemala City occupies the 11th floor of Torre Internacional in Zona 10, the capital's business and diplomatic district. Ambassador Juliana Correa leads the mission, which maintains UK-Guatemala relations and provides consular services to British nationals visiting or living in Guatemala. The embassy supports British travelers exploring Central America's cultural heartland — Antigua's colonial architecture and UNESCO heritage, Tikal's massive Maya pyramids in the Petén jungle, Lake Atitlán's volcanic scenery and indigenous villages, and Semuc Champey's turquoise limestone pools. The UK-Guatemala trade relationship includes Guatemalan arabica coffee exports to British roasters, textile manufacturing, and renewable energy development. The embassy also coordinates security cooperation and provides emergency assistance during volcanic eruptions from active Fuego and Pacaya volcanoes.
